export model with materials

Hello, I was exporting a model with revit 2011, where I already assigned materials

My colleague opened the model file with his revit 2012 on a different pc, but the materials I assigned, with custom textures, nn were loaded. . .

Is there a way to export/save the file with textures?

the problem is that you use ver. 2011, where the management for the transfer of materials is not included

see online help of the ver. 2012:

"all material data, except for image files, are stored as part of a project file. when creating a project, revit architecture provides numerous default materials. if necessary, you can create custom materials or change the settings or groups of reference properties for existing materials. new or modified materials are also saved in the project file.

....

if you use the same version you do not need to send the default material folder (texture).

in practice you must send him the material folder, to which he will put the link to the path (of the folder containing the materials/texture) in his ver. 2012.

n.b: 2 - if who receives the file, he also had the ver. 2011, it is not necessary to send him the default material folder. just put in revit 2012 the path of the material folder of the ver. 2011.
