good morning to all users

I address you for a problem I have encountered using hypermesh v10.0. I use it for meshare with plate elements, so create mesh and divide it into groups and then import it into nastran format inside straus7.

the problem is as follows: in hypermesh imposed comps, subdividing all my elements. I would like to find the same organization in straus7. but when I make the import, I get a mesh on one level (or group, in straus7), then losing all the organization I had set up in hypermesh.

Do you know how to solve this "disguido"?

Thank you all.

Hi, maybe before posting a message you should introduce yourself, tell us what you do and who you are.
As for your problem, I don't know strauss.
but use both nastran and hm. Try to give a material and/or a different property in hm then, pull on the model in rhinestones and you make it divide by property.

You're right, I'll show up in the next few days, I promise!

I thought about the material too, today I try and see if straus sees me.
Meanwhile, thanks for the tip!

I confirm, the key was in the properties. assigning different properties for each group of elements, import into straus maintains this differentiation. from there it is then easy to organize the model in groups by quick selection by property!

Thank you

Of course I did! I posted in the section indicated in the administrators welcome email!
