hi guys... I have the strong doubt that I have already opened a post with similar name, but with the new "search" hard to find my posts...

Therefore, having the need to create a catalog/brochure of presentation of a product, I wondered if sw would meet me by making me export to vector both tavole that you models that ... (I put it there so much that it costs ..) renderings
Is this stuff feasible or I keep throwing myself on the various translators online?as always I accept suggestions and/or alternatives

I'm ignorant, what do you mean by vector?
...so I know that you know it, you just say it to give satisfaction every now and then...https://www.grafigata.com/che-cosa-e-il-formato-vettoriale/Meanwhile I corrected the title by adding vector image

It is a type of image that maintains quality even in the infinite, very convenient, in some cases to create brochures or images destined to the web ... usually has svg extension (but also pdf is a vector ... I sometimes use it ... uhmmm maybe I answered myself? )

hi reggio, I have been doing everything for months with pdf, fast, practical and vector.
instead of using pdf creator (or similar) in case you use them, I recommend using the "Save Name" function in pdf format because the lines are "recognized better" (I don't know how to explain it) if you go directly from solidworks. you can also try it yourself and the final display difference is clear.
you can always save even in adobe illustrator format (extension: .ai, in case you use precisely illustrator)
there are magic vector programs
sin be paid, you know software or similar sites but free?

then you can use inkscape (www.inkscape.org) is free.
pff molds, open it with inkscape, then you can save it in .svg, and export it to .png as well as reprint it in pdf. inkscape is an open source alternative to the various adobe suites.

I hook up with this post because the question is the same, but I couldn't understand the conclusions. I need to export tables that remain in vector format for the chart. I can save them in format, but the chart tells me that in opening them with illustrator the file that reads is an image, therefore not vector and not editable. if I give it the dxf then it is vectorized, but it loses all the "esthetic" part that I care in solidworks with various colors and decals.
Can you help me?
It seems strange that a parametric cad cannot generate a vector file

when you save by name, there is adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop.
Don't those go?

I save by name in format ai, which is illustrator. the chart manages to open it and use it, but it is not a vector file, it has it as pictures

south forum ho trovado this answer but I think it can't be denied yet.
If you have to provide the graph with the contents for technical documentation or an advertising brochure, I attach an example with some indications that may be useful to you.
I generated it with a low resolution to better appreciate the differences between raster bitmap and vector content.

from pdf "dimensional drawings
generated by a cad and exported as pdf;
maintain vector format." but this is not true, according to what has been said so far

Do you have an example of an export in pdf format? If so, check the pdf export settings for carriers not to be translated into bitmaps (I don't know in cad, but in graphics programs you can choose).

in pdf is the usual export of the drawing document, in theory it is with the help I thought it maintained vector properties, since it is a format intended for graphics. however I have rechecked between the setting and does not allow it

polysoft tell, cad no longer in use, was parametric and are almost certain to generate 2d vector views, another cad that generates vector views is creo direct elements, but it is not "appropriately parametric" since eventually the parameters are placed directly on solid 3d and not in the basic sketch that generates 3d as the other cads (I apologize but I only used very little inventor).
So I don't think that one aspect precludes the other, personally I used to vectorize only magic vector many years ago, when it was free, and I found it useful only to vectorize the logos, now I would probably import the image, I would scale and recalculate the lines.
Perhaps if you could first clean the image with suitable software such as photoshop you could get out a "sensed" vector file otherwise each parallel rectangle to the main axes is exported as a whole of all-shape lines.
