extension insulation layer wall over rope

Good morning to all
in my revit project, I have perimeter walls in " sandwiches" composed by:

inner plaster 1cm
brick 30cm
insulating 4 cm
lateriazio 12 cm
external plaster 1cm

the loft, as it happens in reality leans up to the edge of the brick from 30, after which the insulating and the 12 cm brick extend vertically covering the loft. How can I do it in revit? Do I have to create a family of walls called "insulating layer" to be "supported" to a wall composed only by the brickwork ? or does there exist a command to extend every single layer of which the wall is composed ?

exteriorWhen I try to remove the locks to the insulating layers, brick, plaster (which are the layers that go to cover the loft, while that inside the nucleus is the support of the loft, is it correct?? )
I get an error message.
"Impossible to extend the layer or layers of vertically highlighted composite walls. "I can't understand how to do it, actually the only way (which I found for attempts) to extend the individual layers is to put everything inside the core, but so it's not wrong?
