I would need to understand what is the best way to provide an autocad file in which there is text that can then be engraved on a plate with the usual numerical control machines suitable for purpose.
the company tells me see you, dxf, eps, pdf, just as long as the text is turned into traces.
Huh? ? ? :-)
Do I have to explode characters with express? If I do, the same lose their rotondity and although it is true that the size of the engraving will not see the polygonals, a little I'm sorry.
thanks for any advice
Hi.

I usually use express to explode the lyrics and then readap them by hand, or you have to do, like, a nomograph with letters and numbers and use that, maybe climbing it properly.
My advice uses "stencil" characters are less elaborate and more versatile for this type of work.

I found in the dwg block sites some sections dedicated to letters and numbers, but little choice. Is there someone who has some extra locks?

You can download them for free, just search for stencil fonts in google, they are always texts to explode with autocad express, but you can also laser cut them.

I figured out how to export the text turned into vector track starting from indesign, so better so!

Hi, I'm accusing this discussion maybe going a little offtopic: you know valid programs, or working methods, to get male and matrix of a writing, for a sheet mold (not passing hairstyles, but nerving folds), starting from a simple dwg .
we have a customer who has the need to have his pieces branded and never once the previous brand is easily reusable.

depends on what you mean by punching;
I mean an embossed writing or brand like, e.g., some tin boxes.
Obviously to me it does not touch in tin lot but sheet 15/10.
Say hi.

Exactly that! dear reborn depends on how many pieces you need to mark and at what price, but in your case you generally use a punch, conio style, and then you perform the "timbering" of the pieces. the trouble is the cost of the 'punzone', and generally you do not make male and female, but as in the case of the coins you face backwards, and in that case the cost is double!
then returning to your question, you usually study a profile in which to insert the writing or logo you want to get, and you extrude it slightly so that you have it slightly embossed or cashed, at your choice!:finger:
