Yes. boudary (ex bpoly) would create 2 distinct regions (I use it with poly option)
but if you create a line that intersects masonry and window on one side (creating a thing like a q letter, you get a single poly to ask for the area.

The perimeter will be high, but the right area.
for a wall with a window is almost wasted as a solution, but if you have a prospectus, or a plant with a pillar grid, it's very fast.
