extrude a variable section along a whores

I need to extrude a section along a parabolic curve. such section linearly varies some dimensions along the path.
I guess there's a command to do that?

I am a beginner of the program, I tried the command you suggest but I think I don't get what I want.

perhaps I have explained badly; what I want to get is something similar to what you get with the command _;
- the curve according to which the section is extruded is a parable.
- at the extremes there are circles of radius 5, in half-haul 2.
- I didn't check, but I guess the section varies linearly from radius 5 to radius 2 along the development.
- I would like, instead of the circular sections, two sections, for example 2 trapezi

you should be able to solve using the sweep 1 track command.

The command you're looking for is sweep 1 track.
of course on the trajectory curve you will need to have the sections that will make the surface look and size desired.

ps: please, when you want to put pictures, use the internal images attachments not external references to the site (hack). ..this will make sure that even at a distance of time the images are always present.
this to avoid that post in which the image is basic to clarify the question, do not become incomprehensible.
