Hey, guys, I wanted to show you my last job.
It is a coupe 4 places timidly inspired by the chevrolet impala of '67.
attention, it is not a redesign of the above model but a concept that is also a small tribute to the impala of '67.
I wanted to keep the classic and huge volume of tail as well as the characteristic trend of the flank, plus a few little bit less visible.

measures are important. Since we talk about a car inspired by an American muscle we are on the 5150mm long for about 2000 wide.

the state of the works is almost at the end (I only work there in the evening) and to show you the development I link the gallery of images in which I posted the various steps, from sketch to modeling up to render.
http://picasaweb.google.it/ferrantedesign/wipf_designvconcept?locked=true#5392205418787031474 (I hope you can see, let me know!)

I'll put you here the last render.

@uluwatu: I love beer and here in Piedmont there is really good... don't be afraid! :
As for friends...know! last weekend concert of the "rise and fall" and the day after mega tournament in pes 2010!
If then I add that this concept I did it in honor of my girlfriend (veronica, that's why the concept name)... should be sufficient evidence to say that I'm not a poor nerd :d

@mbt: thank you very much, I just hope to have done a better job than the volt! ;)

I didn't mean to offend you!
It is that I imagined that if that job I had to do it in the after-dinner....I would not have had the time even to sleep!!!
It was a batt...tranquillo... I'm your work!

You know, I didn't get hurt. It was just to laugh at us. :

I leave two new images

Good, good, great!
Congratulations, your work is all remarkable.

Bye.

p.s. I tried the link to your gallery. but picasaweb spits me in an eye: "Sorry, there are no items to display. do not have access to view photos or these are not present at the specified web address. to get access, contact the owner directly. "

hi f_cherrybomb, give us technical info.
type of modeling program and render?!?

for example: the last 2 images with what software did you do to them? ! ?
modeling times and rendering.. .
Hi:

I was going to ask myself...

In particular I would like to know modeling software, rendering software (if different, type studiotools/maya) and rendering engine.

of course if you can, and just for curiosity!-)

Thank you so much!

Hello, everyone!
modeled entirely in rhino and rendered with hypershot.
for the first image took about 2 hours of cooking while the second is a screenshot taken directly from the rendering program.

Are you okay with rhino?!? Is it hard to model a car? ! ?
by curiosity: use also alias

with rhino I find myself very well, now I use it for several years to work than for my personal projects. alias I have never used it, but I think it will be short in my sights;)

modeling a car is not simple... it takes patience experience and willpower. if you look in gfiro for the network there are several tutorials based on rhino.

very good f_cherrybomb, circles and interiors especially: beautiful:finger:

@stef_design: I used little studiotools, and it was version 8.5 at the time of the university but today some big car manufacturers use much more. it is also true that by now studiotools is still very specialized for the automotive sector... but it is now a lower-end software than before. I feel however, in chat almost from bar though with very authoritative people, that there is no reason to use studiotools in place of rhino. I abstain from giving judgments but it is an argument that I would like to deepen. What are these super-softwares that would use these car manufacturers? I often wonder when I check out magazines in the industry and see the interfaces of their programs. And I don't think the hardware is any less.

You mean that alias has nothing in rhino +... is used because it is a "mode"? ! ?

I don't mean, but I feel like...

more than a fashion I would say because maybe somehow remains a standard

I don't know, but I'd like to hear other opinions.

the experiences in the field that I have had made me know modelers who use mainly alias and icem surf regarding the non-mechanical parts. I don't know. .

hi cherry, first of all compliments, really an impeccable job, you see that you have a lot of experience!

I'm new to this forum, and I'm still a student, to model use aliases 2010, and to render I just started working with hypershot, it's very intuitive and for me who are at first arms is a great value:), if I could ask you some advice and delucidations regarding hypershot if you don't mind, let me know

Thank you in advance

It's the truth.
If you want, I'll leave you my msn address, so maybe tell me things in real time, otherwise if you prefer, I'll tell you here:

I prefer here, I don't use chats so I can respond even more calmly and make it, for those interested, that things said can help the forum.
