Hello everyone,
I find myself having to get the development to build what you can see in the image.
3 developments that will then be welded (don't ask me how they bend them assured me not to worry)
to get the development (inventor 2016) I wanted to get my external face (or a body with uniform thickness that is only a plate of 3) to select it and convert it into sheet metal.

Let's say I'm already banging my head to get rid of an edge that in my opinion should not exist. .

I created a sweep extrusion with a triangular profile and a "path" consisting of 3 arches, 1 making almost all length and the other 2 small to the extremes (the same center radius and complanaries {even if created in a 3d sketch})
in the sweep function I inserted a twist of about 80 degrees. .
the edge therefore is created by the division of the arches that make up the "track". .

It's not the first time I'd like to use surface controls with inventor, and every time I don't jump out. .
Anyway, would you tell me if it's possible to do what I want to do with inventor?

I tried to attach the 3d, but it's a derivative part and it doesn't charge me in step ne iges...

thanks in advance

Hi.
in my opinion you can use the sheet module, connecting the already rotated and tilted sketches through the hopper command, with which you will then get the developments

for attachments, if you "stop" everything... works

Thank you, matteo.
I don't think I've ever used that command (travel)
but for example what command can I use to combine 2 faces? I can combine surfaces but faces are not considered as surfaces. Can I not create a surface directly from a face?

I've been trying to process a little... I tried with another part similar to this and I got a body exactly as I wanted to.. but with the sheet module I still can not get the development (I have passed from converts to sheet).

Now thinking about what you told me I will try to get 2 sketches from geometry so as to prove what should be the hopper command (I have inventor in English) that should be a loft in right sheet metal environment?
the only ones against would be that:
- My starting sketches are not exactly on a plan but to do that I will do as if they were and at the limit I will correct the result;
- I'm not sure I can adjust the loft according to a sort of path. .

I'll update you
At worst, I'll try another software.
Thank you.

Hi.
I did some tests with your iges model
being the loft 3d "svergolato", it is impossible to get the same result in the sheet environment.
comparing the sheet to a sheet of paper, it is as if you, took a rectangle and then tried to "short" it between the hands turning them in the opposite direction. the sheet module is made to simulate details made with the bending machine in the air, it is not able to realize such typical effects of the modeling.
you can solve by subdividing your model into multiple sketches so you can use the command "tramoggia" several times.

thank you matteo for your help,

At worst, I'm going to share everything in multiple sketches even if I want to find an alternative solution, maybe with another software.
Thanks again and good work!
