Good morning I open this discussion that I think can be useful to many.sto looking for a software (I focused on featurecam) that can quickly meet my following needs (I hope someone who uses it already can enlighten me ):
1) I must import drawings made with inventor and in general stp file (on this the description of the program says that it is possible )
2) I have to load nc programs already made and simply verify its operation by simulating the processing (in this case I do not find information on the net )
3) I wanted to know if there is the possibility to load models of cnc machines (fant, etc.) already made by the various manufacturers (real machine models) and importable in the program to simulate the pieces in the machine. (I do not find information on the network or even links between manufacturers)

That's not even point 3.
to use a cinematic of any machine must be "motorized". the thing is technically feasible even to a user, if he has time and patience (the second is exponential to the first).
Point 2 needs a simulator, not a cam.
point 1 finds match, but in any case the format to prefer to the step is the parasolid.

3d models of machines, must be made in a certain way,
each axis of movement must be a 3d model, then through the application in featurecam you assign

point 3) First of all I thank you, but what I can't understand if there are models already available on the net for the individual machines and if there are models already loaded in the program in correspondence of the individual processes.
I better explain...the software in question should simulate work and see that it allows to choose the type of workmanship associated with a machine ... now the best solution that he would go to calculate from what I read must be connected to models present in libraries or imagine specific paths. .. these models that I read on the net from where they come if there are and especially what features have (file extension etc,,,,)
(my curiosity is to understand the characteristics of the machines preloaded in the software (if I'm not saying inaccuracies)

As for point 2) I understood that the thing is not feasible, but if I load a step file and generates a nc file this can be saved and loaded in the car? ...the reverse path you tell me is not possible and this is a real sin.

"network models for individual machines" what does that mean?
In fcam installation there are some generic cinematics, if you need something specific and consistent with your machine it is to be created or bought.
point two is not a lack but a request made to the wrong instrument.

thanks for the answer..intendo : select a model of a brand example "dmg mori , citizen etc..." the load in the program and I find the machine on which to work the pieces all here... I thought there were bookstores.

Okay, I'm here now.
There are "standard" machines, which you don't do much. are useful if you have to simulate positioning movements, but not if you have to simulate collisions, encumbrances and other; to have a specific machine you need 3d file of the machine builder (xt, step etc) which is then delivered to the staff self-desk MP, which will make it "live".
otherwise, you can always proceed independently on the 3d file of the manufacturer, fitting and making the machine alive through a special module of fcam "machine design".

for me bosses is so, I repeat however that creating cinematics for simulators is a mestieraccio that is better to let go to those of competence.
