Hi.
I need a hand.
I need to create a profile for tubular 80 x 30 x 2 that does not exist (in my opinion) in the library (inventor professional 2010).
I lock myself in the family table. derived from din 10210-2 a line, I have to insert a whole series of values.
some I calculated them with formulas and verified with mechanical acad (moment and inertia rays, resistance module).
I'd like some clarification, though, considering that if these values aren't correct then the fem wonder what it generates, and I can't have the wrong results!
I, in similar cases, always preferred to change profiles with a similar bookcase, but in this case the structure is already in progress.
area section: ok
moment of inertia first column: ok, moment axle x
second column inertia moment: ok, moment axis y
module section: I imagine (and I entered) the resistance module w
module section second column: as above
torque rigidity module: Here my knowledge is not enough, I have sought but I find nothing clear.
torsional section form: idem.
turn radius = inertia radius?
I'll check on the engineer's manual tomorrow, which I don't have. If you can help me!
I am very concerned that a small mistake can have serious consequences in the analysis.
