Hi, recently I started using femap and I have a problem.
I have to make a t-shaped reinforcement using two perpendicular surfaces.
each surface has a thickness of 2mm, so I created the vertical surface at a distance of 1mm from the horizontal surface to avoid the interconnection due to the thickness of the latter.
now how can I connect the two surfaces since they have no construction elements in common?
is it possible to do so without using the connect (type glue) options of femap?
I tried to merge the knots of the vertical surface edge with the corresponding knots of the horizontal surface, but in practice stretches the vertical surface to the horizontal one and this creates interconnection.
How can I do that?
Thank you.
