file da 3ds a revit

  • Thread starter Thread starter graphio

Okay, there's no rush.
these cars were in the cd attached to the 3dworld magazine that arrived at n° 9 disappeared from the newsstand and were 10, 10 others I had bought from the site axyz design at 50 €
But at the end with the 32-bit history and 32000 polygons I remained there

Don't waste time

doesn't make sense to work in revit

if one has a powerful enough machine will fade inside, it will matter in autocad

rear wheels fanali per matriali etc., you export to max the body shop in dxf and then import it in autocad as block , you copy the rear wheels in front and then do a cure to recover....

topic closed for me

in fact I tried to save it from max in dwg, then in autocad and then in revit but nails to 4% of the import... and my computer has 6 giga of ram + all the robe "super ciucia"...mah

Still, the full dwg saved him?
to me with a max 32 bit saved me only lights and plate
the body shop and the interior that probably exceeded the 32000 polygons no
from All3dmodels.com I downloaded a lamborghini in 3ds and importing it in autocad also I didn't care about the body shop.
probably if they put in revit an import 3ds at least who has it at 64bit
could import a sea of objects from the network
If you can post the dwg, I'll try to ram 16 of giga

No, 20 mega. If you think you send me a private message and send you an email. 16 giga???? Does the coffee make?

I forgot: passing by 3dmax the work in dwg saved it but then settled in revit... maybe for extra size?

coffee not, but I made a 3d of a fairly extended real estate initiative, there was also a golf course, which loaded all the file occupied me 10 giga and with the other six made us render.
I loaded in revit dwg of 50 mega, archmodel trees, it was necessary to disassemble the dwg in many small dwg that were loaded fast
I send you my e-mail
dwg disappeared in various dwg x layer

Hello, everyone! !
I exhume this post because I have a problem practically identical to that of graphio that raised it...the difference is that I can not follow the suggestion of reg_rev :( :(

I'll tell you better. I made a Persian in 3ds with the colors and the shape that serves me; then I read here that I can import it in revit through passage from dwg and use it directly in the revit project. but you talk about importing the 3ds file in autocad and only after saving it in dwg: I couldn't find a way to import my file in autocad!! It only makes me import a type of unknown .dgn file that obviously I don't have and I don't know how to get it. . .
then I saved it in dwg directly from 3ds but, as already happened to you, saves it without a piece and then in revit appears with all the slats but without the front face and back.. .

So I ask you if you could kindly explain to me, like a poor fool, how do you do all those steps and in case how to alternatively solve the problem of missing pieces! !
I on my pc have revit and 3ds 2011 and autocad 2012...but if you need other programs + old I can get them. . .

thank you all in advance! !

ps: I attach the 3ds file of the Persian for those who want to give us an eye... View attachment persiana ema (1).7z

I tried with fbx, sat and dwg... a disaster. Can I ask you something? for such an element, so simple and linear, why not models it directly in revit?

from max you have to save it in dwg or 3ds format
in autocad if you save it in dwg systems as layer since revit to dwg you can give different materials if you have different layers
if you save it as 3ds amounts it in autocad as 3ds, in matter there should be also item 3ds (at least in 2007 there is) diversifying layers for material
saved as dwg and then amounts it to a family of revit
And then I'm sorry you need a dwg Persian to import it into revit when you can revit it?
I'll set you up my window

model him in revit? mmm bho you could do but actually I am not able to:p I started really little and I can do just two things on the cross...

in the meantime I noticed that revit also imports .skp files from sketchup and then I made a double round: uploaded the file dwg menomato in sketchup, closed the missing surfaces with beautiful rectangles and imported everything in revit...
It seems that it worked, that I see the whole element...then on materials, lines and what else I do not know the true correspondence but I will think about it;)

render54 I saw your message only after writing the previous :p
Now I try to make all the steps that you told me and see if I can make it work like this;)

Well, you can see that I am at the very first weapons if it is so easy to make a Persian and I have not yet succeeded :p :p but, question: is your Persian editable in height and width? because the one that serves me has very little standard size (60x290). .

it is parametric
but for that size is a window door with a unique door
and then get this:tongue:
parametric in the measurements and possibility to hide the Persian and the stone boundary (here is turned off)

Mom, you're the boss!
Now I try to use it and change the measurements a bit, so I solve a huge problem (my palace is completely locked in sliding shutters) and I can finally finish the render!!
ps: question for which I will receive several insults.......... how do I change the parameters and how do I know what parameters to put on?

you click on it, if it doesn't explode, the property window opens
If you click on change type you will open a further window where you can change the size, if you go on another you will also find the size of the threshold, the width and thickness of the fixture, when passing the cleaning woman to clean the glasses etc...
if you need various sizes when clicking change type you need to click on duplicates and then ahead:4410:

ps. for others:
no insults
So, boys...

make I have no words, my only thought is to understand if I can ever design with rac as you do:frown: as the advertising of carousel said: I did, but I made a mistake, too.
Well good again:finger:

Don't think she came out right away
at first there was chaos
window pieces that went where they wanted them when I changed the size, correct one, fix the other at the end now seems to be fine
for which I went to the "level of higher play":4410:

so I went to the "upper game level"
already understood the system is a fxxxxx!:finger:

the problem then is to stop....however after the sixth level of nesting takes the prize:biggrin:

then one takes it as a challenge with revit
in fact here is:
1 window family only hole and contour
in this has been inserted a family of davanzali, the family of the infix, and the family of the antoni.
I wanted to see the divisions of the components of the
tealio, the window consists of various horizontal and vertical struts complete with bevels
glass is another family with glass plates, aluminum spacer and there is even if you do not see the rubber seal
in the anthropon there are the family of the cardini, and of the closing hardware, the family of the vertical slats of the horizontal slats, of course vary of number depending on the size and they resize of those few millimeters to stand as number in the size of the shutter.
as I said in another discussion there are those who in the evening build airplanes or sailing ships,
I enjoy myself so much and not dirty even to keep
