Good morning to all,

I am struggling with iges files, to what they told me created with rhino v4, that as I carry them in solidworks (2016) gives me many errors, and visually it is seen that there are incomplete parts placed a little randomly.
does not recognize functions and doing import diagnostics changes little.
I have searched for solutions in the forum but, despite the many discussions, I have not found them.
I downloaded rhino(for 90 days) I opened the .igs files and already known that there is something wrong but not knowing the program I can not fix things. then I tried to save files again in .igs and .stp and then reopen them with solids, it solved some errors, but no longer appear to me other :frown surfaces:
I tried to use solid surfaces controls to close open geometries but it does not always work. I managed to save some components as part doing (insert into the new part) by right-clicking on the surface in the surface folder in the right-hand menu
I hope I've been clear, I attach one of the files in case you can give me your opinion.View attachment front.rar

bah I opened the file and it actually is really painful...it gives me the impression that the conversion from the original file was hurt.
files have been converted with this program "cimatron iges convertor hd:\temp\front.igs,19hprt/cimatron v12.20"

only thing you can do is feel directly with those who have passed that file.

Thank you. I'll see what I can do.
The problem is that the person who passed it has only this iges file... I should have looked at it, set them up because then we had to use them for icem analysis, and I think we can do a decent mesh. but here we go to another field.
I'll let you know.

I opened it with creo 3.0, it is not put so bad, the problem is that export, was made by setting a single resulting math (and not a set), so the loss of information is high.
at least start with a file that generates a set.
