file recovery pro/e from overwritten hdd

Hello, everyone.

for a stupid error an old hdd where there were several drawings, assemblies and sketches of pro/e wf 1 and 2 was formatted and overwritten with other data.

are you aware of particular data recovery programs that are able to recover the specific files of pros or companies that know how to find these files?

on the network there are several programs that however only search for files with the most common extensions and ignore everything else.

I'd hate to throw them out.

I don't think the programs in question ignore everything else...according to me in the advanced settings you can search for *.* or *.*.* (e.g. pippo.prt.3) . but I don't have any installed at the moment that I can't give you confirmation.

in any case these programs recover deleted and formatted hard files but if files have been overwritten completely with other data it will be impossible to recover, even for companies that do this job (they want a lot of money to recover files so I don't know how much you agree)
