Good morning to all,
I made a file step of a set in proe 4 but when I go to open (in combination mode) the different parts that make it (not all) are randomly positioned.
Do you have any advice on this?

I throw it there, not having the file available together it is difficult to detect the problem:
1) Could you have used different measuring units for the various parts?
2) were the parts placed in the axieme correctly?

If I could post the assist, we could better check where the problem is.

Hi.
Unfortunately the parts are connected correctly, some default positions and other connected via constraints. measuring units are also correct on all parts.
I did not say in the first message that the step I try to create the son-in-law from a simplified representation... but I don't think that's what makes problems (or not?).
If I could post the aid I would do it gladly but I can't for reasons of confidentiality... then... 2gb together are difficult to send.
can the large size of the file condition the step? Now I ask the most absurd questions since I find a solution. . .

to me happens when I load a step model of a set as part... try loading the step as together and you will see that it will position the components in the correct way.

Unfortunately it happens even if I load it together.
I still solved by parasolid... but I want to understand anyway! ! !
