Hello, I am helping my father to generate some assemblies and renderings of a laser marker for a company and up to here everything ok; unfortunately a problem arises when we were asked if we were able to generate a movie of the marker in operation (particular of the interior and the marking capabilities); Now, it is not so much the fact that I remember little of the animations in solidedge (a bit of elbow oil and you learn all :biggrin: ), the point is to know if the program is able to perform the job; If yes, I'm going to learn, otherwise it's just wasted time.
in practice must look like what happens in this film from the beginning up to 1:44 and from 3:00 to 4:15

I think you need a special program, I don't know how you can make laser effects with the environment was solid edge. I never did, I saw a little something but at those levels certainly not with solid edge

with solid edge is impossible to do, in the past I have made various films (even if) but when there is the least complexity you have to lean on those who use other cinema4d or 3dstudiomax sw.
It is not that with these it is simple, indeed, but they give you all the tools to be able to do it, ke tools in solid edge (mechanical cad) are not there and will never be there.
I leaned on another company (very good!!!!), we found the correct way to export the material generated in itself to minimize the work of 3d modeling and move directly to paths, rooms, lights, timelines, etc etc etc etc etc.
and a different world, parallel to the cad3d but with many differences.

not to insist on demoralizing you, but it is not simple.
I am doing a course to start helping this study, but it is + long of that ke I thought.
if you have taaaaanto time to lose go as well, if you have less and you need a professional result let yourself be and lean on professionals.
It's sad to miss us a month and make a skifezza (always personal experience unfortunately)

Don't let me down. ; I am finishing the university and some committees like that can only do me well.
the company in question has already made a round of quotes, but obviously they have been too exotic for their pockets. the request is not as complicated as the video: That is the track to know what is important to show. if done well (fair lights, reasoned direction) they "please" of a simple handling.

time is not so much, but these days giving up a job is not a very clever thing
