hello to all, I would like to understand with you if I can do this here:
I have a sort of shock absorber and a spring in a set, I set a loop type connection for the two pieces of the shock absorber and I inserted a spring (coaxialized vines and two mates at the ends of the cut spring with the clips). I now work in standard mode (no mechanism) and, moving with the handle the shock absorber, I would like the spring to change its length by regenerating the model. I was trying to figure out whether there is a possibility to relate the spring length with the shock stroke or the distance between the shock absorber's pins, in fact if I try to open the course coupling settings I would like to switch the quota with the variable and assign a simple function in the relationships, but I don't know how to recall this variable.
then I have seen that there is the possibility to make the spring component flexible but if I use the distance between the two spring plates I echo the distance at that time, if it varies then the race, the spring goes in error because the coupling with the two mates can not be solved (rightly). What can I do?
later I would like to try to create a video with the opening of the shock absorber, do I have to work inside the mechanism environment to do so?
