floating license installation

I should install draft sight on multiple positions, with floating license.
seems to me that the license manager you see on the various tutorials should be installed on the company server is correct?
or do you need the flex net program and license manager stays local?

in the attached image should put the port number say there is 25734 (but is that always?) @ computer name (I put the name of my pc but do not see it, do I have to put the server name? )

the license server should be installed on the company server or on a pc that remains always on, definitely not local.

when you install locally to find the licenses you need to point to the license server, then

install license manager on the server. to install it, start the complete installation of solidworks and go to "server tools" to start the installation of the license server. Once installed, licenses must be activated (only once on the server license manager), in the same mode as stand alone licenses on workstations. at this point install solidworks on workstations. during installation, it should be specified that you use a license server and the name should be indicated. I suggest you use the ip address (which must be static for a server). with the ip address the license also works well in vpn when you are offsite. If you've never done it and you don't know the system, I strongly recommend you to be seen by your var.
