floor vs sole in revit2009

in line with the differences in using a modeling command Flooring compared to using structural control alone...?
I found nothing in the glossary that helped me understand. .

graphically, no difference
the parameters of the two objects, are partly different (compared to the properties of the two objects), which allow some different gestures (see in the help: structural)
in 2010 they are called : floor / structural floor
