format for interchange projects

Hello everyone
for technical needs I have to carry out a project together with other technicians of other studies/enterprises.
Unfortunately in this case the used software is quite various therefore it has decided to exchange drawings in dxf format, but given the complexity of some parts it would want to be able to use also a three-dimensional format.
the operators involved are

2d autocad users who need to view 3d files
users autocad 3d
users archicad
solidworks users
technometal users
users who use software above but who would not want to exchange files in native format of their program to prevent the file from being modified.

suggestions on how to exchange a 3d file visible to all?
you do not expect everyone to change it or import it into their software, but just look at it.

the standard open format of interchange for the 3d is the ifc (industry foundation classes); all the software you have listed allow import/export in this format.

but the release 2012 reads solidworks, pro/e, nx, catia and rhino files

seems possible an agreement on the dwf format that we could all open with design review program free of charge of the autodesk. to see if archicad and solidworks users can export to this format.

autocad does not open and does not export the ifc format, at least until the 2011 version. none of the users of the group have successive versions.

I went to the autodesk site, but I didn't understand. has some function for the bim but as you will have understood here the bim is far light years.

first, navisworks freedom reads the native format of navisworks (nwd) while design review no. to make it short dr stands at the cad as nw freedom stands at the bim:biggrin:

being the syntax of the ifc file dictated by a figure independent from the various software houses you have the guarantee of greater quality and "internationality" of this format of exchange.

to view and exchange a ifc file you can use a free software distributed by tekla called tekla bimsight.

This software also allows you to insert multiple projects into the same file in various formats (ifc dwg dgn etc.), to perform interference control or to add comments to the true elements of the files.
