I feel great, but as I said, I only do milling of particular pieces, our millers do mainly programming on board machine.

I feel good because it is fast and intuitive, then if you already use caty, go to wedding, if you change a piece, you also follow the cam............... you have to turn the programs but cmq the program is already done.

I believe it is the cost of the licence, nothing is cheap with catia... let alone the cam, and then you have to make someone a postprocessor reader to be used on the various tools .

talking also with other people who sell machine tools, they defined it the ferrari of the cams ....... I repeat not having used anything else I can not judge, but being part of the family catia is a good advantage.

I have postprocessor also x drilling, so fixed cycles............... I don't know with other cams, but if you do the matrices in the catia it recognizes and touching a hole it takes them all, if you have to make another group with the same parameters, copy paste , touch the other group and it is done, you can do a tide of things, even the starting bases with preset parameters............ and much more.

as cam use hypermill, with holes and 2d machining is great.
also with the 5assi and the classic 3d processing.
But at the time of choice, caia was a step back with the holes and so I opted for hypermill.
