Good evening.
I have a question to ask you:
I have 3d files created with one space modelling with pkg extension. I would like to turn them into iges or steps so that they can be loaded with other cad programs. I don't own the one-space modeling program but I saw that there is a free version of the ptc I create direct modeling program. just create a ptc account and then download the program.
My questions are:
1) is the free version of ptc creo valid?
2) I don't have any other obligation to do so?
3) I can with this free version to convert my files?

thanks in advance of your help.

no, the personal version does not export to external formats. Try with the "trial" version of I create parametric that lasts 30 days, maybe that reads them, but I never did evidence actually, I'm just making a guess.

Thanks hunter.
But I create parametric isn't the former pro engineering?
Sorry the question but not using more models I did not follow the evolutions.

Thanks hunter.

Yes, let's say that these ptc genes have made a terrible mess with the names that the tomtom takes to understand something, anyway:

1) create parameters
2) direct creo --> pro/e with handles
3) create direct/modeling --> ex osd modeling

(note the subtle difference between voices 2 and 3.... :wink: )

Okay thanks hunter.
I have a friend who works with creo parametric.
with creo parametric manages to open the pkg and convert them into step?

Thanks again

I asked, you can't do what you want, I'm sorry.

thank you very kind hunter!!!!
I was exhuming the files (treatment of a project started a few years ago then abandoned for reasons of time ) and among these files I found the assembly already converted into step!!!! I didn't remember doing that.
for now I am therefore appropriate. If I ever need it, I'll ask you.
Thanks again for your availability.
See you soon.
