from inventor to catia v5!? what differences and benefits? ? ?

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask you an opinion on my situation.
our company deals with design & consulting,
Our battle horses are:

- sheet metal mould design
-plastic mold design
- special machine design and industrial lines
-industrial design and co design

we currently use inventor, autocad and real system..
but the most used is undoubtedly inventor.
I'm interested in the dassault systemes solutions and I wanted to see if I could benefit
from solidworks or catia.

in engineers of a certain size, the choice of a software is according to the customer/s and is imposed for obvious reasons of compatibility, so in automotive, aeronautical, naval etc. catia v5 (or nx) by force of things.

but they cost a lot!

in minor realities we try to get the best cost/benefit ratio and usually a "capable" designer manages to use the available sw by pulling the best even if you have little more than a utility of the sw, while the less good ones always fatigue (and even more with a sw ferrari)

each passage to other systems involves sweat and blood tears and is advisable only if it is indispensable for reaching limits of design complexity or for the need for contractual taxation.

waiting for the answer of a user (not me) who has used all the sw cited (and in the fields indicated) and who can therefore make a comparison not in the air, I suggest to draw up a list of the benefits you hope to get (increase productivity by reducing times and costs, expanding customer park according to the plm, better assistance sw, ease of use, management of large sets etc.) and a list of the limits that swamp today

then:

consult with your customers

consult with your users

check what your competitors use (best)

call dassault commercials that are also technical and submit the data

two accounts

and then decide (if you are religious prays)
