from solidworks 2016 to solidworks 2013

Good morning to all,

I just joined the community because I would need advice or a favor, as for a project with arduino and servomotors have 3d models saved in solidworks 2016 by an online user. I would like to print 3d pieces but with changes, and I can't change them as I use the 2013 version of solidworks or the v5r20 version of catia.

would you advise me how to proceed?

I don't know, with solidworks, you can't help it.
just wait for someone with 2016 to save files in neutral format. of course the changes you will have to make will be on bodies and not on functions

I exported you to three neutral formats, step, sat and iges. in the latter separating the various components and not flattening it in a single body.

However, is there no other way to open files with the correct sw version? sin. . should optimize file portability for different versions. Maybe a plugin for previous versions. .

this is not possible with cads and also with calculation programs. I believe, but it is my personal thought, which is deliberately not possible.
