Hi, guys.
I’m trying with some renderings of our machines to prepare brochures, catalogues and more.. .
I have created a library of custom aspects for our products (sprinkled sheet, painted plates, etc.).
my question is, if I wanted to change the shade of one aspect (for example because we changed paint and now it turns out with more shiny effect) how can I apply the change to the appearance so that it is reported in all the pieces made with that finish? I did a test but it only changes the piece I'm working on.
thanks in advance to all!

depends on which file they go to "weight", if you save it with another name and do not overwrite the file aspect they point to is normal that you do not change. you can check this from the "look changing" menu (right-click on the look in the "look up" tab)
allego screen.Immagine.webp

I thought about it but it doesn't work.
I did a test, I created a yellow color look and saved in my local folder, applied it to multiple components within several subaxis, after which from one of the subaxis to which I applied it I went to change it and I saved it overwriting what I had created. but it only modifies the open component on which I was working and not others. Am I wrong?

how can I change the file in my library of custom aspects? Can I get in from any document and save I go overwrite the look so I can save the changes? with other software this procedure works.
Thank you.

tried to open the file and force the reconstruction? even in that case does not change?

I tried to open each file individually and also forcing does not update the color. try to cuff with the settings, maybe there is some option to select

At some point I had lost my mind and I quit the blow. .
if you check a custom look tied to a file, and change the file, the appearance on the parts where it was applied does not update, you must reapply it. .

That sounds really weird. If I realize in progress that I could better take care of the finish of an aspect, I must reapply it to all the components that use it... there must be a way
other software works differently. . .
