hello to all

I wanted to know if it was possible to add a drain throat without passing through the tree generator

I find myself with a piece believed through various features and I would like to add a drain throat

Thank you.

create a worktop parallel to one of the ends of the tree at the distance you need for the creation of the exhaust gorge and you will do the sketch with the two concentric circles (one of which will be the projection of the affected section) with which you will make the cut extrusion. Bye!

I think you can do it very well with the cut of revolution, since the exhaust throat has a very precise shape

I meant if there was a command as a fitting that drew it already according to the diameter and similar data

but it seems to me that you have to create it as a leader and parameterize it

thanks to all

already, despite at the end it is not a big problem to do the ifeatures, I also feel the lack of a c.c. processing regarding the exhaust gorges, for or or seeger that have normalized dimensions and that therefore could be present with their feature (as in acad). once there was a discussion about the improvements to be required for future versions of inventor, but if it were because then someone had the chance to send the demands to the autodesk, or for comparison of ideas to our use and consumption I do not know....

In this regard I keep updated a word file, which I call wish list, where as I come to mind I write the improvements I would like to be made. I'll ask you one day.
because we do not open a discussion wish list where everyone adds something? and according to the various quotas you could understand what is the most desired.
I threw it there so I could say.
:-)

Good morning.
I take this old discussion instead of creating a new one.

we always talk about exhaust gorges (uni 4386 / din 509) for grinding; these, to understand: https://www.mcurie.edu.it/files/marchetti.ulisse/gole_di_scarico_per_parti_da_rettificare.pdfSince 2009 :-), has someone created (or found around) a working ifeature to create them without passing through the tree generator?

on the German autodesk forum I would have found the thread how to create freestab 509-f with i-feature in inventor 20202? with relative ifeature attached (to message 4), but I cannot understand how to place it. even with google translator I couldn't apply it.

I also searched on the autodesk forum, but it is a delirium: I may not be able, but it seems impossible to search the keywords using logical operators (and/or/not & |!), or even quotes " or more and less (+ -).

I tried and it works.

zip compartments with ifeature ( din 509-e freistich or din 509-f freistich)

- insert the desired ifeature and selections
0.png- diameter selections where to place throat1.png-selection plan
2.png- select working wall support
3.pngforward and select size
4.png
5.pngThen you can change the size of the throat by selecting the processing from the shaft -> dx key and change ifeature

Thank you!

I made attempts, but I made two mistakes:
- I was losing on the floor where the sketch is created.
- I forgot to change the direction of processing (instead of the throat, an abnormal bevel)

We hope that this ifeature will also serve others :-)

(maybe if you can translate the descriptions from German to Italian)
