Bye to all,
I have been able to install the 2018 version for some time.
But first I'd like to be careful to install it for the first time as a rule of art.
I hope some of you can help me.
I will explain to you our situation:
1. in company we have 3 licenses (no professional)
2. we work on behalf of third parties: for each customer we have a folder and project files.
3. files are on the server (link speed 100mbs)
4. templates and standards are common, that is, we have not so far had a tendency to make designs with the customer logo and similar things.
5. we have with some customers big performance issues having to work with car models imported(6000 complex parts) so inventor is slow.
6. we do not have company design standards (sheet metal rules, templates, drawing styles...) and I would like to have a minimum.
What I ask is:
There is a step-by-step guide to install inventor or if any of you have found a setting that works well:
1. where are the common files: For example, we have big problems when we move from one version to another and sometimes from one station to another with the assemblies that contain content centre components.
I learned how to avoid them by inserting them "as custom" and saving them in the axieme folder. So I want to know where to keep those folders that can create problems like this.
2. having heard only speak well in this vault forum, I would like to try but I wonder if a) is included in the standard license; b)I should decide whether to use it at the time of installation or I can decide later. c)I can only experiment it myself without involve the other two designers.
