Good evening,
I have a problem with a handrail I have to work on cnc 5 axes.
This is the file I have to work.
to work it I need to create a counterstamposium where to house it once worked the first half, but to do so, I have to cut half the cylindrical section and get the same development but with a semicircle section.
I tried to redesign it starting from the already semicircle section, but climbing the sweep gradually rotates the section and get the result in the second image.
how do I draw the solid exactly half, or redesign it with semicircle section? (as highlighted by red lines)

I took it last night and managed to get what I needed.
It was actually easier than it seemed.
with the foreign command isolinee I obtained the 2 "lateral" paths, I closed the ends of the paths with a simple line, and with the command close the surface I obtained a surface that cuts in 2 the piece.
I converted the solid into nurbs surface, and with the created surface I cut it in half.
the image is a little disgraced, but you should understand. .
