Hi,it is my first message.I call myself valerio and I am learning (almost quickly I have to say) to draw in autocad for reasons of work.I am found to have to make some drawings, including a perforated cylinder.I have designed it is extruding from the 2d,it is directly modeling in 3d two cylinders and subtracting the inner one.well,in both cases I can not quote from this cylinder. in practice you shaped the cylinder by drawing a circle and then extruding it.
the circle has been designed with the bird lined to world i.e. the plan (x,y) of departure std of autocad.
the extrusion was then made according to carrier z.
now you can use the comado ucs and, for example, set it on front (ucs,g,f).
if you want you can also define the bird with 3 points (origin, vector x, vectory).
In this way your design plan (x,y) comes from time to time re-oriented and allows you to quote your model (the odds always lie on a 2d plan that you can orientate at will).

by default theucs is aligned to world (the x,y plan of departure).
the odds will always give you value 0.0 if you do not change the bird by setting it, for example on front (ucs, graphic, front).
if you prefer you can use icons to direct your ucs orthogonally on various floors.
