Hello.
My boss decided that he needs a new computer to make simulations. (better than a movie!!)
I will generally use solidworks with all the cosmos package, fluent, gambit, nastan, femap, ansys and gt-suite.
I currently use a laptop with windows 32-bit view which is not the maximum in performance. . .
as I would like to go to a computer worthy of making even very heavy simulations I had in mind what idea but I have doubts. the cost limit should be less than $1000 (treatable). logically I just need the tower.
1) as I would like to use more than 4 ram gigs, the only choice is to switch to 64-bit operating system. but at this point the programs, which I listed before, that turn me on a 32-bit sitema will also turn on a 64-bit system? and if not there are 64-bit versions?
2) the use of a quadcore for its predictions would be ideal, but are these programs able to use all four processors or not?? I don't want to have four of them, and then find out that fluent only uses one to analyze. What kind of processors do you recommend me?
3) is it preferable to use windows xp or view? always in panoramic compatibility of programs.
4)what video card do you recommend? What?
5) buy it from a site like the, or assemble it yourself?
Thank you so much!!
