how do I calculate a volume of land (all excavation) starting from a plane listed in 3d
Thank you.

with which instrument? with the bullet?
Hello, everyone! I add to this conversation because I also have this problem with autocad.
I have the points of the relief of a quarry (which are therefore identified by x,y,z coordinates) and I have to determine the excavated volume.
seeking here is the I read of the dtm command combined with the prismid command; I applied the first, but I don't know how to use the second.
Can you help me? ?
Thank you.

autocad has no tools dedicated to the construction of dye and dtm neither much less tools for calculating volumes. autocad civil 3d instead would do to your case; look here:

thanks to the information... I tried to download the program and install it but it gives me error... now I try... I hope to succeed..

I downloaded the student version from the autodesk site and tells me to download a newer version, "fresh". I don't know if I was wrong with the type of version to download (I took 2012 in 32-bit format) or what else. .

I know... I'm a landslide! download the 2014 version in 64 bit then:wink:
thanks to the tips and patience:biggrin:

I tried to install the 2014 version but nothing to do.. it gives me as an error "network failure" and immediately after another window "setup installation failure", in which he asks me to install it again from the site of the autodesk...it is from yesterday I try and try again but nothing in fact. .
it is not really possible to use autocad2012 to evaluate the volume true?! :frown:

I'm sorry, but it's a problem I have to solve.

I could help you if you send me the file and tell me what you need to calculate. . .
Really?! Thank you very much!
I have a file with the "original surface" and another with the excavated surface.. What I need is to know the volume dig. .

attach the files (until it is better) here; if there is no need to fix any of the surfaces I use less than 5 seconds

edit: ok, as not mentioned; I saw the email now... don't be practicing anything:d

se per "command dtm"you mean the use of the dtm.vlx lisp, with dtmvol you can calculate the volume (compared to a plan with a quota that is required to you) of the "original" surface and of the "scavata" one.

here actually gp she has two surfaces to compare.
@
the two surfaces do not have the same georeferencing. I made the edges match to the south; since the dye there was identical I imagined it was an unexcavated area.
