but "starting from drawing 2d" do you mean paper and pen? because if it is not so, see that cad is not synonymous with 3d...the 2d made to the computer is cad to all effects, because it is a computer design.
cad is acronym of two distinct 'transductions', one is design, the other is design. a symbolic 'represent' something and then do it with a pc or a piece of paper with the pencil is identical, the other, 2d or 3d or what you want is all another thing. :wink:
