i can't iron objects with the grip

I have a problem: I try to iron a polylinea by ironing it for the central grip, but it does not move. the strange thing is that if I type a pretty high measure, the command works, while with low measurements it no longer works. do you know if there are any system variables or something I can have unintentionally modified?
