i-deas (replacement 2d)

Good morning to all.... these days we are facing the dilemma of replacing the old i-deas 2d platform with a new one.
Since we are already users of solid edge v20 (at short st-2) and its pdm, someone has been able to test version 2d of the same and with what results?
It is obvious that all the i-deas archive will have to be available with the new 2d, so I assume that it will be necessary to request the creation of a macro that understands all the .asc file conversion procedure.

2d version of what? of st2? if you are updating vs. Work systems better speak well with vs. assistance (I assume the same as I have seen that you are of the Veneto too). In theory, being always of the siemens family, integration should be easier. Now you say you already use v20 and you have the old 2d platform of i-deas... do you already have integration with this?

if for the 2d you refer to that of the st2 is like that of the v20 with the improvements made in these last 2 years of difference from the v20.

hi....the version 2d is that of solid edge (now v20 and in a few months st-2)....the problem is precisely to understand how to interface the archive of i-deas... . .previously I had dealt with it from gbg to think3 and with a macro everything was converted to the new platform.....(stili - quotas - carts etc.... )
My request was to understand if the 2d of solid edge can support a macro that does the same thing....

The answer is yes, with a macro you can do what you want... If you do for example a macro that exports you dft to dwg with the styles required and automatically you care again the 2d in i-deas the thing is done... Obviously just create the macro.

my thought is that since i-deas is a siemens product, i.e. the nx family, solid edge, teamcenter etc. I think (but I'm not sure as I don't use it) that this integration is automatic, or simpler to do.

What did your dealer tell you about this?
