I downloaded it but I haven't upgraded the flexnet yet so I can't prove it right now. . .

not always, in the past new versions I have seen that they were already compatible with the license "in production", sometimes instead I have to send it back....you have to upgrade your existing license to use with creo 5.0 right?
I don't know what it depends on, maybe how many versions you're jumping.
