Good morning to all,
for working needs I have to create some parametric assembly with inventor (serves that can be scaled in size).
in detail are metal structures formed by tubular (circular or rectangular) and fixing plates.
the objective is to create assembly that can be scaled in size (e.g. starting from a cubic structure 3000x3000x2000 mm to a 5000x4000x3000 mm)
I started drawing all parts.
I generated the first assembly.
This assembly, as mentioned, must be parametric. I created an excel table with the main parameters (l=width, p=depth, h=height), I connected this table to the assembly using the parameters in the positioning constraints. I then connected the same table to the parts that have to "long" in the change (for example a tubular has as a parameter of length extrusion l-100mm). if I change the excel the structure changes in the correct way.
I would now like to go to ilogic, it seems to me that the same results can be obtained more quickly and better (in addition I must add some rules like inserting a part after a certain measure of l,p,h, I must be able to print the distinct base of the assembly and the boards of components).
Could someone help me set an ilogic assembly properly?
I obviously tried with little results, I created the module with the parameters l,p,h, modify the parameters and click applies, if I open the window of the parameters I see the values that I inserted but the structure does not change, remains unchanged (of course the parameters do not refer to the excel but I have made user parameters)
