I imagine how normal it is, that to start, you are drawing,pardon,creating something in the "part" environment, or a .ipt file.
well,forgetti autocad:save strange cases, with a solid modeler (inventor,solidwork,solidedge etc) is created, only one object for each file. . .
then go up in the environment together ( .iam).

Then excuse me if I did some macelli but every time in the forum to understand how it works is a mess. Then I'll explain. I am a mechanical expert and at the school I used autocad and this year I took a course to brush up my knowledge and also took the ecdl autocad. Now I wanted to take the 3d, at first I was practicing with autocad but then I read that I have to do it with inventor, that's why I got on this program. Now if you go to the site of the aica in the reserved part to the mechanical ecdl 3d you see what I have to do, it is a hinge but on the internet I can find little and nothing on inventor and I came to ask here..as you draw I understood why the job I completed it, first doing the sketch and then extruding only that I have some doubts. now I try to open a .iam file so I see what it is. I had already created the 3 designs on 3 different files. Thank you very much.

when assembling the various pieces together first of all you have to go to the environment together .iam,positions the various components from the component panel/position the first at the top left on the command bar by choosing the various .ipt files you created, once imported all you will have to rotate them/seat them to put them in a convenient position to then bind them, go to the panel always position on the command bar and from there click on the move or component wheel, make various pieces to bind them.
