tested pro/e and pdmlink on a 27" imac with 8 gb ram with windows 7 64 bit.

It's fine, at least from what I saw in a couple of days.

good to know, when you have a way to verify it, let us know how it goes with animations renderings or complex assemblies.
the only weak point could be the graphics card, if it does not support open gl libraries well.

already tried with a complex set, of a thousand pieces, and all right.

a thousand pieces is not so much, for complex assembly you have to consider from the 10,000 components up (for simple components).
then depends on the complexity of the individual objects (think for example to the body shop or the frame of a car).

So I think I can't test it, we don't work with such complex assemblies.

Hello technical_plast.
I am about to install creo on my mac book pro i7. at the moment I have just 4 giga of ram, but at the need I can go to 8.
Now I was wondering if you're turning it in dual boot or with fusion or parrals?
Would you have any suggestions to give me in the crack installation?
thanks in advance

then, about a month ago we installed creo on imac 3.40 ghz 8 gb ram, with win 7 64 bit installed with bootcamp, then without virtualization, it's fine.
the server that manages the licenses and data instead is a mac pro in which both creo and windchill are installed on win server 2008 with fusion, in this case it is a little less fluid, but acceptable.
there are no special suggestions, if you have slowness issues (in virtualization could happen) try to increase ram, and possibly update video drivers.
hello and good work.
