Hello.

I need to import a line made by a supplier through thinkdesign, software I don't know, in creo 2, I received some files ranging from 400-500 mb to a 1gb, both in step format and iges that I create hours to load.

I tried to suggest exporting not a unique file but all the structure but it seems that thinkdesign does not have this possibility.

Has qiancuno had experiences in this regard?

Thank you.

I'll be a little late, but I still try to suggest some things:

1-farms export data as "solid" and not as surfaces (the individual maths lighten much as "solids")
2-divide in 2 or more subassiem the bigger assemblies, but with the same system of coordinates, so you can reassemble and then restructure the assemblies, assembling them through "sisco" in the first line
Individual maths that are formed by sets of surfaces, the "holes" and errors will be sought, and then made solid, otherwise the heaviness will remain even after, forcing you to long times of loading and regeneration.

I'll be a little late, but I still try to suggest some things:
thanks for the answer,
In the meantime, in dialogue with the supplier I managed to make a parasolid export, I found that thinkdesign can export to this format if it is related to appropriate module/license.

at the end I received a 80mb file, in place of the initial 1gb, and with only the minimum components, 1400 against the approximately 4000 initials.

Thank you.

definitely better if it took away unnecessary elements (viteries? ).
with parasolid I have never worked, I don't know how it is at the level of precision.
