Hey, guys.
do you know how to import pro/e files in solidedge? is it necessary to install a converter or alternatively the pro/e to allow transfer?

Thank you!

always the usual speech: you cannot import it directly, you must save it in another format (iges/step/quellochevuoi) and then simply open it with solid edge.
answers to the probable questions:
Yes: the features will be lost
yes: you can partially recover them if you have st (st2) or with featurer of previous versions

this list of file types that if st opens.

Bye.

Thank you for warning me!!! ;-)
cmq if the features are then lost or at the limit in the best case, you can recover partially, what sense does it have to save them in iges format, step, etc.?
at this point, would it not be more effective and quick to install the pro/e or an ad hoc converter?

You usually save in such formats when you do not need to recover the features. are formats that allow a quick reuse of files produced by others, according to me valid when you do not need to make changes, but serve for a joint evaluation.

thanks michele, it was the answer I expected! In fact I don't need to save the files in iges format and how many others!

:-)))

in fact mea culpa: in the case of pro-e you do not need to convert them. opens them directly if.
cmq without features.

If I don't want to lose any feature, would the only solution be to install the pro/e or a converter?
