import solidworks file folder

from a customer I was provided a file folder generated by solidworks, I think it is an axieme, but I can not import neither the axieme nor a single particular. maybe because it is made with solidworks 2017.
Since I need it as it is and I have to work "around", I kindly ask if it can be converted into step, maybe by splitting the zipped archive into several parts as the generated file might become great.

but don't apologize before you ask the client directly the step file? so besides it comes to know that you have an older version of its and when needed it sends the step files directly without turning to lose

I don't know if tomorrow is in place and given the period could have technical office sluggish, I already had the same problem, in fact I opened similar discussion a few days ago, when sent me today the file I was sure it was a step, considering the size of the compressed file, unfortunately I committed the mistake of not checking immediately
