import step in inv2009

with inv2009 sp2 I can not open/import any step.

step generated with pro-e wf4 m040.
open well with think3.
Inv instead crashes at the loading and I have to finish the session.

Any suggestions?

if you go to "instruments" --> additional modules, find the "reversal program : step "?

I don't know think3, doesn't save in other formats valid for inventor?

I activated the add module but it does not open all the step files.
only some files (the most complex at features level) have import problems in inv.

Now I try to see if it is an entity limit problem when loading.

think reasons for surfaces, first generates it (I think)... .

after the advice of stefanobruno I managed to open in a "fulminea" way the various tests I had prepared. so I could understand that it stuck to me for a single file.

I have to import a set of 180 parts (parts and subass.) and I couldn't for that only part. now in a blow I opened 179 perfectly (I have suppressed the "vigliacca" at the time of the exit step from proe), but I still can not charge the single kissed.

I attach the file for some good soul that wanted to verify the import.

open with inventor 2010 without problems... I saved it again as step (I don't know if you have inv2010). .
Try to see if it's in...

with 2010 opens, with 2009 there is no verse ( sat - step - igs generated from 2010 ), it blocks with 698,416 kb of ram engaged.

thanks giga and stefanobruno for the sad confirmations. Unfortunately I only have inv2009 and the native proe there is it because I shaped it. only that the natives of wf4.0 only open from inv2010.

I generated from proe a step feature after feature until unmasking what planned me inv. suppressed that goes that it is a wonder.

I attach the image to the "anomala" feature.
the version of proe is the wf4 m040.

At the moment it gives me problems attaching the 3883 kb zip of the part.
I try later.

I converted it into 2009 and I train them both.

for my work are rare these import (for now), and we are planning the passage to 2010...
