Good morning to all,
I have a problem importing a 3d file of autocad in inventor 2013.

someone would be so kind in explaining what the correct procedure is also because I have other items to import, or even convert the attached file to a part to then insert into my own set.

I tried to save it even in iges format and then import it but it gives me surfaces to correct and then it does not see it as a solid body.

Thank you.

export it from autocad and import it into inventor using the stp file?
generamente inventor "law" better the step of the iges

in autocad, export with the command _stepout

OK, I'll try immediately, thank you.

autocad 2013 I put underscores

.... progress situation:
I saved the file in .sat format and imported into inv sees it as surfaces now how I turn it into a solid body? ? ? ?

Why sat and not step (or stp) ? ?

Anyway, you can solidify it with "colpisci" (I think it's called so in Italian. . . )
