important news about hardware keys and maintenance recovery campaigns

Good morning to all,
following the advice of ip design I open this new thread to get to know two important issues:
1) I informed myself at the offices in siemens for one of our clients and it is possible to "return" to the hardware key after a statement on paper head of waiver of any fleeting licenses. for example who has a mach3, which by definition is fleeting, with this transformation will become "node loked" but you will receive the hardware key! ! !

2)I communicate that is in place a "recovery maintenance champion" with really interesting conditions until 31/12/2010 (it is the first time I see it in the world nx!!!!). it is not possible to give me more information on this because each customer has conditions that could be different from others having made the purchase at different historical times but we remain available for "our" customers to evaluate the actual economic impact and we remain available to anyone who wants to understand more

- the multiple characteristics of the composite host id make it incompatible with a dongle. therefore a dongle cannot be used as the host id of a license server.

- however, dongles will continue to be supported for individual license modules (node locked licenses).

- nx also supports a new license type called a standalone node locked license. this license type does not require a license server and can utilize a dongle

means that if you canceled the service contract, usually the only method to have the latest release of the software was to purchase a new one.
instead with this siemens system after payment of a "penalty" allows you to return to being covered by assistance and receive the latest versions of the software

it is a campaign to bring back maintenance customers who due to the crisis had to suspend maintenance contracts.
therefore there is a special treatment on the foregoing and that is how much should be paid if the customer had remained in maintenance.
remember that with the concept of maintenance it is not only meant to have a telephone assistance but there is also a share (in fact most) that is dedicated to financing the development of new versions.
