hi guys, good Saturday working to everyone.
I wanted to ask a question that's making me a little sneaky.
Is it possible to impose as an initial condition on my model the results of a previous analysis?
I'll explain.
I did a linear analysis with my own weights, now I would like these to be my initial condition to start with a non-linear analysis.
I tried to make load steps, but since then I start a single analysis, ansys goes into the ball because one is a linear analysis and another not linear and so doing the application of own weights makes me as a nonlinear analysis and that is not good.
I hope you can help me.
thanks and good weekend

Hi.
I hope I don't give you an answer that isn't useful to you again, even because I didn't understand exactly what you're going to do.
you mean that after the previous analysis with certain own weights you want to impose on the non-linear "imperfection" calculated in the previous analysis?
in this case, preprocessor->modeling->update geom
you have to give if I don't remember wrong three values and in the last box do browse and select the .rst file obtained from the previous analysis.
I hope that's what you meant!
