impossible to create new excel dates link in autocad

As from title, I cannot create a new excel data link in autocad, besides if I open a dwg containing an external reference this can not be recharged, how come?

If I try to create a new data link, the message "the data link cannot be created as excel has not been found".
What does that mean? on my PC excel is correctly installed and working as autocad (both with regular license).

use autocad architecture 2017 and excel 2013.

Are there system variables or autocad settings that can interfere with external data loading?

but if you use the table command and in the window you can pick up the item "from a data link", does it work?

solved.
I used the "fast reset" function of microssoft office 2013 from the control panel. After this operation, it lasted a few minutes, I was again able to create a data connection from autocad 2017.
