impossible to explode block (ellipse, hatch, spline)

alternatively, you could try to save in dxf format, reopen it and see what it converted and what not. in any case, the ellipses cannot be exploded if they do not convert them into polylinese before.

Expand the block, otherwise you can't convert anything!
and verify that all layers are lit and visible, maybe the strange lines or arches are located on frozen layers, you never know!
