I have an old plotter hp 500 model c7770b, serial number hp 500 sg35652042

I managed with a driver to use it regularly with windows 10, after having reinstalled windows 10, same previous version, I installed this hpdj500wx64pclit.exe driver; but I can't make it work, just print the test page. Can someone suggest another driver that could run this plotter with windows 10? Thank you.

If you find nothing, consider taking an old PC with windows 7, find them at low prices, share the printer and use it as a server.

if on the same computer windows 10 professional worked, there is probably another driver that goes well, maybe someone has it, try to wait. . .

that company asked me € 200,00+iva to have a driver of the plotter hp 500, they seem too much for an old plotter that could break.
the strange fact is that with the same windows 10 in which the plotter with the driver I had installed two years back, after the reinstallation and with the same driver it no longer works.

you can use it by installing a linux bridge machine and from the network I administer it and it works perfectly.
You could also install a virtual machine with virtualbox oracle on your pc by installing linux there. remains a bit slower probably but it solves your problem if you don't have another pc to install linux.
the problem is that windows 10 no longer communicates with windows xp. Therefore you cannot use a machine with xp installed.
in both cases (pc with linux or vm virtual box you are able to print again.
then send pdf files to the linux machine and from there prints.
If the machines are installed on the same network, it avoids transferring files to a stick to print.

It's not there. the solution with windows 7 is not optimal because windows 7 is no longer maintained.

windows 7 is no longer maintained and it becomes problematic to update it. I do not remember precisely but for the same problem I solved with a linux bridge machine. and it works.

I would add that there are also security issues with windows 7. especially if the pc bridge is exposed outside.
not being able to upgrade it is not the solution I would adopt (in fact I found another solution).
