incorrect display in revit

I was making a revit 2013 hanging using the 'ringhiere' family where the poles and sails are 'balaustre' while the beams are 'current'
as you can see in the attached image the hanging is mistakenly displayed in the plant.
the 'balaustre-pali' are rightly dissected, but the 'balaustre-vele', unlike the 'current-travi', while being above the cutting plane are visible (?) and hide what passes below.

I'll file if anyone could solve this.......

hi, in my opinion you are not correctly using the tools of revit (use the railing to realize a hanging is "improper use" of categories :smile. in theory it would be easier and also correct to use the right categories...mounting "pillars" appropriately parameterized; the connection beam "trave" and for the sails you could use or a sloped glaze or a family properly parameterized that you can possibly copy (matrix) or create the sail as "trave" and then appropriately dimensioned insert it into a beam system.
so doing you would have all the elements (mountains, sails, etc.) abacabile. if you do everything as a railing (other than having the problem of the vision of the sails in the plant that if not mistaken is the normal visualization for the railings) you have nothing of "bim"

I did a test with your attached file. try to change the sailing family.rfa, select the component and change the visibility settings, removing the tick from the plant. recharge in the project. She doesn't see them anymore. If that's what you wanted, even if you force your hand a little... you can succeed.
